Nomenclature
[edit]I can't beleive this is being brought up again but it's high time to retire the "Devil's Castle" translation and reinstate the "Demon Castle" translation for 悪魔城. The reason being is that the "Devil's Castle" translation is actually a translation of Teufelsschloss, which is German. By that logic, the series would be "悪魔の城ドラキュラ" which does mean "Devil's Castle Dracula". However, a lot of materials suggest otherwise, including the back of the Vampire Killer box ("Dracula's Satanic Castle"), the English text for the New Generation manual, which is a direct Engrish translation of the original Vampire Killer manual, labelling it as "Demonic Castle of Dracula", and recently in Konami's Pixel Puzzle Collection app for Android and iOS, which also uses "Demonic Castle", all three of which are translations of 悪魔城. Being a member of several Castlevania communities, we have come to the agreement that "Devil's Castle" is a bad translation, and that one of the reasons to use it is to differentiate with Knightmare, which also uses "Demon Castle" as a translation although spelled as "魔城".--Tailikku (talk) 16:10, 3 March 2019 (UTC)
